ABOUT THE TELLER:
Dave Chlad was once a skeptic.
Stories of cryptids, paranormal encounters, strange lights in the sky, and unidentifiable creatures roaming the woods seemed silly to him—just another version of the tall tales people like to tell.
Then he encountered evidence he couldn’t easily explain. He began speaking with people throughout New York who claimed to have witnessed things they could not understand, seen things they could not forget, and lived through encounters that changed them.
The reports kept coming.
Dave began documenting and sharing these accounts, building a grassroots following of readers fascinated by the strange side of New York. Encouraged by his wife, he gathered these encounters into From the Shadows of New York.
He now continues to share behind the stories, sightings, and mysteries hiding in plain sight across the Empire State along with other creative writing.
